I understand that 622 supports 2 TV’s, but one of them has to be SD. I have 3 HD sets but one of them will not be used as much as the others. My question is, is it easy to change the feed from TV1 to TV2 ? Meaning, one tv is SD but if I want to use it for HD I can change the feed. How is easy, or even possible, is that??

TV1 can be component, HDMI, s-video, composite or RF (coax), all are active all the time. Simple way would be Component to one tv and HDMI to another. There are various splitters for the component outputs. So it can be done easily, but same channel would be viewed on all tv's hooked up in this fashion.

When you have this DVR hooked up to the Dish, a OTA antenna, and two TV's can you view OTA channels on TV2 and what are the viewing/recording combinations. Just checking b/c I've read conflicting reports.

OTA is only viewable on tv1 when in Dual User Mode. To have OTA viewable on tv2 you either have to be in Single User Mode with channel being viewed on both tv1 and tv2 or in Dual User Mode - OTA is being recorded and using dvr on tv2 to view the recording program. No matter what user mode you are using only one recording at a time for the one OTA tuner and for each of the two satelite tuners - three recordings at once, or two recording with one live or one recording with two live.

Sorry, I think I did not make myself clear because I did not get the answer I am looking. Let’s say I want to hook up the 622 to two TV’s both of which are HDTV ready. My understanding is that the 622 will be set for a TV1 that is HD at all time and TV2 that SD at all time. I have my TV1 that I want to watch most time upstairs and TV2 downstairs and I don’t use much. Let say one day I wanted to watch HD on TV2, can I change the setting easily and swap the setting of TV1 and TV2 back and fourth??
I know I rambled, but I hope this makes my question clearer.

OK, you have confused outputs with tuners. I think what you may want to do is split the HD outputs for tv1 as the 622 has two HD outputs (both on tv1). The sd and HD channels can be output through the component, HDMI, s-video, composite and rf outputs (the first 2 are HD, the last 3 are sd). If you leave the 622 on single user mode, the tv2 remote will work on the HD outputs, it will not work when in dual user mode. If both tv's are going to be in use at the same time, run second output from tv2 outputs to second tv, switch to dual mode and watch on sd output.

You would have to switch the HDMI or component cables to view HD on either TV.

Wherever you watch HD off the 622 you MUST have either HDMI or component connection, You could run a component cable to the TV downstairs and watch HD off TV1 and the HDMI to the TV upstairs to watch HD off TV1, but both MUST watch the same programming. You can add TV2 with the agile RF modulator to both TV's if the have UHF NTSC tuners by running RG-6 out of the back of the 622 to a splitter and running the two splits to the NTSC tuner on both TV's.
