I checked my software on my 622 last night (5-18-06) it is now L357 instead of L356. Push your menu button twice and you will get right to the info page.
I no longer have any audio mismatch on hd channels and response time to change from locals to national hd programing is faster.

Any other "fixes" you are experiencing are based on a good imagination.

My 622's been great. I had a few problems with OTA DVR timers but, after disabling the local mapdown function it cleared up. I also added a cooling unit to keep temperatures down (I have a pretty tightly enclosed space). Overall, it was an excellent upgrade. I'm glad to hear yours has been doing well, too :yippee:
I helped install one for my parents a few weeks ago and got to play with the agile modulated output function... it's a very cool feature.
I hope all is well!

Allin, where did you find the release of the new software content. It is not my imagination that my audio and lips move in sync now for the past 48 hours without any fault.
Oh, I know, the magic fairy came and gave my 622 a blessing.

Is the word "robust audio" the exact words dish used or is it someones paraphrase of what dish said? Seems to me that until we know what robust audio means the update could be anything to do with audio.
Also, those guys have problems with their 622. I must be lucky as I do not have any trouble except the audio sync problem and that is gone. I have always had my audio synced with the hd and not sd, plus I watch sd so little I really do not know what is going on in that area. I use the hdmi output 100% of the time.

"Robust audio" appears to have been used consistently at the referenced sites, so I'd guess it was E*'s phrasing.
Depending on what channel you were having audio sync problems, it could be unrelated to the L357 SW. For example, ABC affiliates across the country have been having issues with audio sync. This was also reported at DBSTalk...
I haven't used HDMI but, I have seen many posts from people who have experienced problems with that connection on their ViP series receivers.

I'm running HDMI on DISH and the audio is outstanding!
