What are the advantages to trading in my 922 for the 622? I currently have the top 120 with the HD pack that gives me the basic HD. Anyone have any ideas?

1) Do you own or lease your 942?
2) What other equipment do you have in your set-up?
3) Are you interested in adding Voom HD channels to your HD line-up?
4) What market do you live in and are HD locals available there? Is that important to you?
5) What do you currently pay and if you upgraded what would your new costs be? Are any increases going to be worth it?

Just throwing a few things out there for you to consider. You asked a very broad question that could be answered differently by/for most everyone here...

EDIT: Apparently you've got memory problems... you already asked the same question here (http://www.highdefforum.com/showthread.php?t=22198).

DISH will be going mpeg4 soon so that will limit the usefulness of your receiver. Did you buy your 942 or do you lease it? If you lease it then you will have to spend $299 for the 622. If you bought it, DISH will give you $200 trade inon your 942. Folks are selling thier 942s on ebay for like $300 so that is a thought. The 622 has an additional 5 hrs of recording time in HD as it has a larger hard drive.

Lease or buy, the OP can receive a $200 programming credit from a Dish'n It Up (http://www./showthread.php?t=55536) upgrade, making the total cost $99. From everything that I've seen, the deal is only good through August (or might be Aug. 1). At that point, who knows, there may be an even better upgrade deal available.
