I live in the suburbs of Los Angeles and get my Local HD for ABC TV through Dish Network.I own a 211 receiver.For the past 3 days
ABC HD has been out of sync when people talk on tv.I'm certain this could be an ABC HD problem and not Dish Network. My other Local HD channels are IN SYNC when people talk on tv.
i wonder if anyone else here is having this problem with their Local HD channels that come through Dish Network.

It's been like that in the Bay Area as well for the last two weeks on Comcast. My Sister has DirecTV in San Francisco and she also had the issues for the last two weeks when the HD content is on.

Me too. I am in LA area and only have the problem with ABCHD. Other HD is fine. There is no problem with ABC SD, and there was never a problem with ABCHD from Time Warner Cable. Definitely a Dish Network malfunction, but why just ABC??

ya me to i have directv and desperate housewifes last night was out of sync so i think its abc not the providers

I get my HD locals viw OTA and I have not noticed ABCHD out of sync at all. On the other hand I was watching Smallville on WB and it was horribly out of sync. I even switched to my TVs built in ATSC tuner and it was out of sync. It is not DISH. None of the DISH HD channels are out of sync, just OTA locals from time to time.

Yes I've noticed the recent audio delay as well.
Does the picture on KABC HD in Los Angeles break up frequently for you as well?
I've talked to Dish Network Tech Support and they claim they are aware of the Picture Loss problem and are working on it, but it's been at least a couple of months.

That is just a standard answer. I recently exchange my second 411 receiver on the account of broken HDMI and I also asked them how many more receivers I will need to exchange before getting the one that works. Guess what the answer was?
Tech Support claim they are aware of the problem and are working on it.
