I'm thinking about buying an indoor antenna from Wal-Mart for my 811. Am I wasting my time trying to pull in stations from 50 miles away? Wal-Mart is my only option so has anybody had any luck going this way?

It would be a real push to work at 50mi. You could try, make sure you can return it. jim5506 05-16-2006, 08:02 PM Post your zipcode and we can better advise you. Better still look up your exact address on www.antennaweb.org. It will give you a conservative listing of ALL the channels you can receive, both digital and analog. It would be quite rare for you to get stable digital reception at 50 miles from transmitters with an indoor antenna. You'll probably have to go outdoors. stchman 05-17-2006, 01:24 PM I'm thinking about buying an indoor antenna from Wal-Mart for my 811. Probably, my HD locals are about 30 miles and I had to put a UHF corner reflector in my attic. The crappy rabbit ears barely worked. The corner reflector I use costs about $25 at Radio Shack. | |
