Hey guys, I have a Dish 625 and it is currently disconnected from a satellite. I would still like to use it to watch my DVR events that I have on the hard drive though. I just plugged it into my TV and the screen is just black (I have tried an s-video and a composite cable on different inputs, too). Is there anything I have to do to get this to work, or will it not work at all?
Thanks,
Brian

I had a similiar problem with my 510.
Had a good thunderstorm come through so didn't have any signal, but couldn't get to my DVR events because it was acquiring signal.
What I had to do was turn it off and turn it back on. As soon as I hit the power button I pressed my DVR button.
That brought up DVR events menu before it had a chance to bring up the acquiring signal screen.

Well the problem I'm having is a little different. I turn the unit on and nothing happens. It's just a black screen. No point dish screen or anything...

I had a 510 that I turned back into DISH when I got my 622. I was able to watch my recorded events. It crabbed about not being able to find satellites, but I hit the DVR button and the events came up. I cannot speak about the 625 though.

Wow, that sucks.
So there is no video signal on TV2 as well?
There is only so much you can try with the receiver.
If you've cycled power the hard way ....unplugging/plugging back in thing, and you've checked for a video signal on TV1 through the Coax Cable (channel 3 & 4), S-Video and Composite video (on TV2 also).
If you get nothing, then there is nothing more you can do.
