I have on Demand from Comcast, but I see that there is also DISh on Demand. How truelt on demand is this? can you search a list of programming and select to view one, so that it starts there and then? As opposed to the "show starts at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm etc etc).

My wife loves the onDemand on cable, and that is the only barrier between me swapping to DISH.

This is the one area where Sat lacks. The video on demand from cable is one of thier best features. Here isn St. Louis Charter has VOD for free if you subscribe to that channel. DISH there is a charge for each usage. The VOD is not HD however, only SD. If Charter had HD VOD, that might compel me to switch. I have a DVR, so it is no biggie. I just record what I want to watch and watch it at a later date. When it comes to SD, my DVR holds 200hrs.
