I have a Logitech Harmony remote, that is IR. Can the 622 box be controlled via IR, or is it RF only? I would hate to have ti use 2 remotes rather than my 1 universal remote.
Thanks.

Thanks.I don't know about using a a universal, however... You may need to use the "learning function" on your Harmony after programming a Dish remote to do what it is you're interested in. How you have the 622 set-up (Single/Dual Mode, Shared View, etc.) will determine how you need to proceed in getting the appropriate addresses... stchman 05-15-2006, 04:22 PM Not true... both TV1 and TV2 can be configured for both IR and UHF operation with Dish remotes... Controlling TV2 through IR is not really feasable since you will want to use the 2nd receiver for another room. What are the steps to get a UHF remote to control TV1? I cannot see anywhere you can do this. Allin4greeN 05-15-2006, 04:35 PM Controlling TV2 through IR is not really feasable since you will want to use the 2nd receiver for another room. Here are some resources from other forums on the "remote" subject: SatGuys Dish Remotes (http://www./showthread.php?t=59177) DBSTalk 622 Remotes (http://www./showthread.php?t=57581&highlight=UHF+remote+TV1+622) Also, I almost forgot... If Harmony's website hasn't been updated with info for the 622, techfan might try using the DishPlayer 942 selection. I didn't have to change a thing on my Harmony after upgrading from the 942 to 622. stchman 05-15-2006, 05:05 PM I think it might be possible to connect TV2's output to the primary HDTV... there might actually be some DVR or other benefits to doing this, although, I haven't tried it. ThanksI don't know about the 6.0 but, I just "modified" a 6.2 for UHF control of TV2 on my parents' 622. Use the previously linked resources for additional information on the steps... | |
