Upgrade Coming Soon Dish 500 Plus And Dish 1000 Plus

It looks like we will have to upgrade our satellite dishes again.I just upgraded mine to the DISH 1000.There is going to be a new dish system coming real soon.The current Dish 500 can be upgraded to the DISH500+ and the DISH 1000 TO THE DISH 1000+.This new dish will let us view the NEW 118 or 119k sat depending on the receiver you have.The LNB for the 118 and 119 is a little bigger and its much more circular.There is a lot more details but most of this want happen for a while.Not sure at this time what programning will be moved or added to the 118.The new dish will have to be a bigger dish also,similiar to the Superdish.

I phoned Dish today and talked to a technician who said it is possible to move the local HD channels to satelite 118 from 129..he checked with his supervisor to see when and if this would be happening in the future. The answer was that there were no current plans for this.Also the tech said he attends a weekly meeting where he's given updates about things Dish is planning.

ASk him when are they planning on getting FSNHD, Cinemax HD and Starz HD?!!!

I must have more HD! My guess is Starz and Cinemax will be sooner than anything. But the thing about FSN, I dont know, it just seems that it may be a while with that one. They have multiple channels right? They programming always seemed kind of budget to me. Not to say there is anything wrong with FSN, I love it! Loads of basketball, footbal and baseball!
