Hey everyone. I currently have one 811 and one 211. No problems with the 211 but have major problems with the 811. It always goes blank. It is always aquiring signal and will not pick up the 119 or the 129. Sometimes, it won't even pick up the 110. I always reset it by pulling the plug and letting it sit and then I test the switch. I'm very tired of doing this. I have called and Dish stated it was a software problem. I understand but they won't even upgrade the reciever without a new commitment for the hd package. Honestly, other than TNT HD and my locals, the rest of the package stinks. Anyone have any advise on what to do. Just sick of always resetting the reciever.

Do you lease the receiver? If so then tell DISH that it does not work well anymore. What would they do if the 811 went bad? Just have them send you a new 811. If they still continue to give you a hard time, tell them you are going to switch to DirecTV. Threatening someone with their competition gets results. If the person on the phone gives you a hard time then ask to speak to their supervisor. I have noticed that if you call back a few times you can get the desired response.
