I think a STARZ Comedy Channel. What bothers me is I remember reading on THIS forum many times that Dish network would be getting a STARZ HD channel starting in the summer.
Is this STILL going to happen or did they just decide to add a non HD STARZ Channel.
I know that Dish network recently signed a new STARZ Channel contract and would'nt disclose what was in that contract.Why won't they let the people who pay for this know what's in the contract???:confused:

Great, another Starz SD channel, as if 7 Starz channels are not enough. I want Starz HD. I also want Cimemax HD, OLNHD, InHD and especially FSNHD so I can watch my Cardinals in HD.

Not a new channel, Starz is changing content and name on Starz Cinema.

OK, if you check current channel listing you will see channel 354 is currently Starz Cinema West. Starz and/or Dish decided to replace one for the other. May be new but we are losing another. Look at it any way you like.

You take thing too personal. Starz Cinema West is currently at 354 and Starz Cimema East is at 353. Unless Starz Comedy is going to introduce new comedy programing, it is likely to be like HBO Comedy, showing same movies as the other HBO's with the frequent standup comedy. Same content as had before only more focused. Doesn't seem like a whole new channel to me. I hope I am wrong.

Haven't heard anything reguarding content. When HBO added it's Comedy Channel, I couldn't wait to get it, but most of the content was what was on HBO's other channels. Starz has in the past changed their channels names over the past six years - Same Content. My view is if it is a new channel with all new content, I would praise it. But due to past record, I have adapted a wait and see attitude.

I don't read them even if I did get them. Done up by promo department and have tendency to make it sound very attractive.
From what I heard and read, it's a case of Starz offering a "new" channel while it is the same content as what was already broadcast by them and all Dish is doing is replacing an existing west coast feed, similar to what HBO did with their comedy channel except Starz is not offering Standup Comedy.
I for one am not all that 'EXCITED' with it. But not saying I won't be watching it from time to time.
