I just bought a Philips 30" hdtv for $526 at walmart. I was skeptical but it looks great and has 3 AV imputs and 2 Component imputs. I have been very satisfied with it so far...

I have the 30" widescreen Sony Wega HD. The HD picture is absolutely stunning...way better than my father-in-law's Sony LCD. You can read reviews on it at Circuit City's website...everyone loves it, i think its ranked 4.7 out of 5. You will NOT be disappointed in it...but its REALLY heavy!

a CRT HDTV at 30" will be far less expensive then a 30" LCD.. yesterday at walmart(canada) i saw a almost $700 CRT HDTV Sanyo brand on sale for $550! it was a 28"!! i never heard of the brand but if i had that money at that time i would have probably jumped on it..

where as typical prices for LCD HDTV usually go for $599 for a 20" and almost $1,000 for a 26"... at The Source By Circuit City they have a store brand called Centrios 20" LCD HDTV on sale for $499, regular is $599. so if you want something for less then $700 and thats as tight as you can get then a CRT HDTV would be the best way to go cause you'll get more inchs out of a CRT HDTV then going with a LCD HDTV.
