KD34XBR960 actual wholesale cost?

Anyone know what stores pay for these? I know that the KV34HS420 wholesale cost was around 820 or so, which means that the MSRP of 1199 was 46% higher than cost (or another way to put it: wholesale cost is 32% off the MSRP).

If the profit margin is about the same on the XBR, then the cost is about 1300.

But perhaps the margins are higher on the XBRs, since they are the top o' the line? Anyone know what the story is?

I've got the 34XBR.

I bought the floor model for $999. I've had it for two months. Just learning what it has to offer.

A friend of a friend, who works at Sony provides a listing of offerings and there seems to be a 'A' and 'B' listing. I found my 34XBR listed on the 'B' at $999. Just what I bought it at.

At a K cost would seem to be factory prices.
