There are hundreds of MBs worth of sample clips available from here (http://www.hdvinfo.net/media/kakugyo/). They are in .m2t format, and can be played using VLC media player (www.videolan.org (http://www.videolan.org)).

I haven't had a chance to download all of them, but I read that the clip eevgap.m2t (http://www.hdvinfo.net/media/kakugyo/daylite%20footage/eevgap.m2t) was shot well (the gain was set right). I downloaded that clip and it looked pretty amazing for a "consumer" camcorder. Shame though, as it is a huge 41MBs for only 13 seconds of video.

Another clip which is supposed to be good is cocoonspace.m2t (http://www.hdvinfo.net/media/kakugyo/Day0db/cocoonspace.m2t). It is 74MBs. I'll get round to downloading it soon. The clips I've seen so far, IMO, prove how advanced the HDR-FX1 is to any other consumer camcorder.

Just found this (http://citv.dip.jp/bm/) Japanese website which has demo videos of the HDR-FX1.

The clips are the same video of some scenery (including a brilliant close-up of some running water) which is 57 seconds long and encoded in different ways (the 8mbps version the best quality).

The clip at the bottom of the page is of some gourmet food at a Japanese restaurant. It is 53 seconds long.
