Extra charge of $299

I was checking to order a new system and

to get HDTV plus DVR they are charging $299 fee.

this is for 622 box.

I don't think anyone gets a 622 on lease, for less than $299, including new customers.

Wait untill April.. Another promotion coming out for the 622.. 299 with 200 instant rebate.. Im sure it will have the 18-24 month commitment but hey.. Theyve got us by a chain anyways.. So why not.. Im just getting tired of money here money there.. ANd the LIES of DN.. But Im gonna get a 211 for one room and the 622 for another..
So Im sure by the time 18 months is up Dish will have something else to make you pay for.. :confused: how aggrivating..

How do you know that's not a lie? The rebate was originally intended for present HD DVR owners only.

I'd be pleasently surprised if the rebate were actually "instant." I'm seeing a lot of people posting with different deals, different rebates, etc. I'm planning on conducting all of my business with the upgrade scenario via e-mail. I want it in writing when I'm done.

Will Dish deal through email, or are you asking for email confirmations from CSRs, etc.?I emailed one of the "Escalation" guys (figured I'd avoid the CSR route altogether) a few weeks ago with questions about the 622 upgrade. He responded that I could work everything out (details, pricing, etc.) with him closer to the April promo date. He was knowledgable at that point (few days after the Chat?) about the deals and just couldn't guarentee waiving the install fee. Of course by April, that guy could be working for D*! :D

Good idea with email in writing.. I had talked to a CSR a few days ago about the 211 and Charlie saying it was "free" upgrade. He put me on hold, and said "We viewed the transcript and it doesnt say anything about it being a free upgrade".. of course then I asked how long it is before the transcript is put out there for people to view.. He stated usually within 2 days.. Hmmmmm plenty of time for some alterations to be made.. Thats what I told him too.. Seems like alot of BS to suck more money out of you.. But hey like I said before they have us by the chain as long as we keep doing it.. But the CSR I talked to did say that April would be a new promo with the 622 receiver for all customers.. WHO THE HELL KNOWS??? lol
