Now Its Wait

I ordered the 211 and the Gold Package this morning in Terre Haute. The recorded estimate of wait time was 14 minuts, but it took 40 minutes, but other than that it was painless. It will take an estimated 3 weeks to arrive, and the installer will bring the Dish 1000. I tried a little after midnight Eastern, and their system wasn't ready, but the CSR was aware of everything. Said to try around 5:00 AM if I wanted. I tried about 5:30 AM (I work night shift) and it showed up on his system, but it wouldn't do anything else. He suggested I try back in an hour or so. I tried from home about 7:15 and was successful. Noone I talked to last night seemed like an overseas outsourced CSR. It really went smoothly. Just hate the required 18 month committment. But then I always hate committing to anything. :)

I called at 10am and had about a 10 minute wait. Got a gal with a southern accent who kept apologizing for computer problems. Apparently the system was groaning under the load of calls today. ;)

She also had a hard time finding the 211 - the 622 showed up with no problem! She was finally able to set up an install date - it was pretty easy to do and it will be interesting to see how it goes. But it was relatively painless compared to what I was expecting.
