Isn't 211 upgrade free????

Ok If I have a dish 1000 already wouldn't my 811 to 211upgrade free. I've been hearing that it's 50 bucks from csr's, but Charlie said it was free just for the receiver upgrade or am I wrong here?

That's what he said, but, did he really mean it?

I currently lease my 811 receiver from DN. I called today to upgrade to the 211 receiver. The CSR said there would be a $49 upgrade fee and a $6 HD access fee and an 18 month committment. I told her none of this was discussed by Charlie Ergen on the Charlie Chat. The upgrade was free if you didn't need a dish1000 installed. I stood my ground and the $49 upgrade fee and the $6 HD access fee was waived. I accepted the 18 month committment. I should receive the new 211 receiver in 7-10 days.

I was in the same situation, but I had to pay $49. I guess it depends on who you are talking to. At first, they wanted me to pay $299 but I told them no and they settled for $49.

I was unable to get the fee waived, but I was told that an install guy will come on the 7th to install the 211 receiver. I don't even want someone to do it I can hook up the damm box!!! I already got the dish 1000. Once again they don't have there story straight!!!

I paid $50 to swap the 811 for the 211. When they got my 811 back they gave me a credit on my account, so the swap was free.

I ordered 211 today, and I was charged $49.00 for swapping receivers. I was also given a $49.00 credit on my DISH bill. Check your on-line account. Hopefully, you, too, have a $49.00 credit on your bill. :hithere:

so do you have to have the Dish1000

how can i tell which dish i have, i think i have the 500.

i have the 811 and get HD right now. will the 1000 allow more HD channel or what.
