Another Dish ?

I now have a Dish Network Super Dish and want to know if I'll need another dish when I get the 211 receiver. I subscribe now for the HD package and will be getting the Voom package also. I live in eastern North Carolina, Morehead City area.

Sounds like you all set to go for all the HD with the Super Dish a.k.a. Dish 1000.

I'm not sure if you can use Dish 1000 in NC. You may have get a separate dish pointed at 61.5. Note: Dish 1000 in not a Superdish. Dish 1000 views 110/119/129. Two varieties of superdish, either 105/110/119 or 110/119/121.

Am I correct that the Dish 1000 would replace 2 Dish 500's....one at 61.5 and the other at 110/119?
I was thinking Voom is now mirrored on 129.

Where can you find out which dish will work for you geographically? I've read that in the Northeast, the 1000 won't work for all three satellites. And I'm kicking myself, as I could have had two dishes installed at the time I got the service, but didn't care about those local channels that would come up on the second dish, so I didn't ask for it.

So what to ask for when Feb 1st comes around? Just the 1000, or ask for the second dish, since I need it anyhow for the other locals, and which will give me the rest of the HD channels as well? And will Dish hit me with another charge, other than the $50?

Anyone have any ideas, or will I have to take my chances in the CSR lottery on Wednesday? ;)

from what i can tell in the boston maket (northeast)
local Hd will be on 61.5
i have the second dish already for CBS NY HD
and you do need the second dish
the 1000 wont hit all 3

Thanks Patsfan, that was what I thought. Now the question is, will they give me the second dish, since I need it for that CBS HD channel and the other locals anyhow, or will it cost something extra, since I didn't get it at the time of the original install?

I guess I'll find out when I call them on Wednesday!

My Local Abc Cbs Nbc And Fox Have Been Going Off And On All Night And I Had To Use The High Numbers 8870 8871 Ect For My Sd And On The 4 5 7 And 25 On The Guide It Just Said Analog ??/
