I'm ready to leave Direct tv, purchase my first high def set and open a new Dish account. I want two hi def receivers for the first floor and one dual tuner 322 for two bedrooms upstairs. If I order right now, I can get the three recievers and instalation in the four rooms for free. Problem is, I want to be able to receive the new hd programming including locals in hd, making it a necessity to have the new 211 receiver. If I order before Feb 1, Dish won't guarantee that I'll get the 211s. Should I expect an equally enticing offer from dish on Feb 1, or order now? I'd really appreciate any thoughts on the matter from you guys who are in the know. Thanks!

I signed up with dish today, and set my install date for the 4th of feb. I'm in the same boat as you. I want the 211 on install. the rep told me that since the install is after the 1st that i will get the 211, since after the 1st the 211 will be the new standard HD receiver. So I have my fingers crossed and willl wait and see what happens. If he doesn't have the 211 I will send him walking, until he gets the 211
update
i just spoke with dish to confirm my order and she said they have the 211 hd receiver listed for my equipment to be installed on the 4th

The Dish promotions aren't entirely set for Quarter 1 yet.
I doubt you'll get TWO HD 211's for free. Currently a single 211 is a $50 upgrade fee. The second 211 may cost more.
If you sign(ed) up for the HDBronze, Silver, or Gold, you will HAVE to be furnished a 211, due to it being MPEG4 for the 5 new Voom channels.

I just got Dish Network installed this week with their new customer promotions. When I made my order online, I ordered 1 HD receiver, and a 322 dual tuner for 2 rooms. However, when the installer came, I changed my mind and told him I wanted 2 HD receivers instead. He called up Dish and asked them if it would be any extra charge and they said no extra charge from my original order with the $5/monthly fee for the 2nd receiver. So I ended up with 2 Vip211 receivers. However, he only installed the Dish500, and now I'm learning that I will most likely need the Dish1000 to get the local HD when it gets activated in my market (Dallas). I didn't know about the Dish1000 before, so now I'm trying to figure out how to get the dish replaced without having to pay any extra 'upgrade' fees. Spoke with a sales rep today and she was no help. I plan on calling back after Feb 1st and demand that they replace my dish to the Dish1000. So besides the Vip211, I would make sure the installer puts up a Dish1000 also, DEMAND IT =) So as to avoid any potential upgrade fees later.

I am unfamiliar with these HDBronze, Silver, or Gold packages from Dish Network. Could you or someone explain what it is? I thought they just had the HD package and the additional Voom HD package add-on? Thanks.
