fed up with DISH customer service

It is really maddening to talk to the DISH CSRs. You always get conflicting answers. I want to share my experience with everyone.

A few weeks ago i called DISH to request CBS-HD feed from New York. They said I do qualify for it but would need to get the waiver from a second CBS station near my city (Pittsburgh). I talked to the manager of local CBS affliate, he said that they need a request from DISH asking for waiver. So I call DISH back and CSR said they will send an electronic request right away. After this I kept calling the local station and they say they have not received the request. When I called DISH, they said request was sent. Actually they were lying and the request was never sent till yesterday 1/25/06 (3 weeks after I had originally requested). But again they goofed, they sent a request for regular SD reception and not HD feed from NY. So I called DISh again and asked to speak to a supervisor, it took almost 20 min for supervisor to get on the phone. She now tells me that DISH doesnot send the request for HD-waiver to local station. That I have to send a letter to local station and when I get a waiver, fax it to DISH. This is totally different from what I was told all along. Again when I called local station, they say that request must come from DISh, and they do this all the time.

So now I am totally lost and have given up on getting CBS-HD feed. It is really frustating to talk to the CSR. They keep repeating the scripted answers. Has anyone else tried to get a waiver, I would like to know their experience. I would switch to cable, but I get some international channels thru DISh which cable does not offer, so I am stuck with them.

I just copied and pasted your comments to the email address above but lately they are refusing the emails when I do this so you might want to send your own email. Matt has been real good on answering and he may be able to help.
