Thank you for this forum! Can't seem to get straight answers from Dish or retailers. Am purchasing a Samsung Plasma 42". Am used to PVR and want new receiver to have it. I think I need a new dish (or 2). Can I get my local channels HD on Dish or do I need an antenna for OTA? Can I lease the equipment (receiver, dish etc.) from Dish or do I have to purchase it? If purchase, who from? If lease, other than Dish? How much more does the HD programming cost? HBO? etc.
Really easy to find tons of info for new subscribers but can find little info on this upgrade. Should I switch to cable for 6 months or so then get a "new" Dish subscription?
