New upgrade offers for a non-HD subscriber?

I'm a bit confused by the new to come offers and upgrades. I have a 522 standard DVR, a 322 standard receiver and a DISH 500 with the Top120 package. I want to upgrade to a HD DVR and either keep the 322 or perhaps upgrade that to a HD as well (I have 2 HDTVs). I was about to switch to TWC because the local SD feeds have some terrible compression artifacts and they offer HD DVRs for $15/mo. Then I found out DISH has new offers out Feb 1. Given what I have, what will it cost to upgrade, should I wait past Feb 1, and are the rates going up? The CSRs give me a different answer every time I call. Or should I say heck with it and call TWC?

From what I understand from the Charlie Chat if you want a HD-dvr it will cost you $399 as a upgrade fee and it does two rooms(only one in hd, I think). The CSR from Dish don't know the exact info(at least that is what I was told). If you wait long enough I'm sure prices will change(up or down). I feel your pain , I'm in the same boat. :hithere:

One CSR said $250 to upgrade, one said $299, one said $798 as a purchase, and one said there are no upgrade offers. 4 calls and 4 answers. All said they will be offering new products, but still didn't agree on the date. Seems to be an odd way of doing business.
