Man, I APOLIGIZE! I guess I had a brain fart & didn't see the HD in the initial question! DUHH!!! I don't believe ANY HD locals are available from Dish anywhere yet. Detroit is supposed to have 'em by the end of the year. SORRY!

That IS true. The only one I can't get OTA is Fox. The local affilate isn't even digital. I'm too far from Detroit to pick up ch.62.

locals is the only reason i dumped DN a year ago, i am only 10 miles from local tv stations and still can not lock the stations, they drop all the time, with cable i get all local HD free with basic cable my tv decodes all local HD. i got a DVR free from cable also for dish it is $400. i would onlt cosider dish with free HD DVR with local HD included without antenna.Otherwise cable is better option.

I live in Detroit (Telegragh and Joy area) and we receive the local channels, 56, 2, 4, 7, 62, and 50 OTA in beautiful HD - that is, when the program is broadcast in hd.
