Hi,
I’m a HDTV newbie, and I want to make sure I’m getting the most out of the components that I’ve purchased.
I have a few questions about connecting a Samsung DVD (HD850 w/ HDMI) to a 42” Samsung DLP (HL-R4266W)
Audio:
To begin, I have no receiver, since it’s very outdated. I won’t be purchasing a new one for a while.
Both my DVD and TV are labeled “Dolby Digital”.
1) Can I set the DVD up as Dolby Bitstream, as opposed to PCM? Or, is an actual Dolby Digital receiver
needed for Bitstream???
2) Dynamic Compression: On, or off????
3) PCM Down Sampling: On (converts 96KHz to 48Khz), or off????
Video:
1) Format: RGB-Normal, RGB-Expand, YCbCr (4:4:4), or YCbCr (4:2:2)???
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you!!!!!!!
