New Dish Customer, question about programming.

Hey all,

I just switched over to Dish (was installed and activated this morning) and I have a question about my programming. I signed on for the "Americas Everything" pak with hd and free Blockbuster pass for 3 months but I seem to be missing channels in my on-screen guide, more specifically the missing channels are as follows:

CentricHD, CI HD, Encore Mystery, Epix 1 & 2 HD, Fashion TV HD,
HD Theater, HDnet Movies, IndiePlex HD, LogoHD, MAVTV, MGM HD,
Palladia, RetroPlexHD, ShortsHD, Sony Movie Channel, Universal HD

I called customer service and the representative assured me that I am supposed to be recieving these channels and that they should "show up" on my guide in a day or so. Does this answer sound legit to any of you or was the rep yanking my leg and something is not set up properly?

Any help would be apreciated.

It shouldn't take too long for them to show, wait an hour and have the rehit your receiver. Or you can PM a DIRT member here and have them check your account.

Thanks alot for the reply. I just checked my guide and the channels still havent showed. If they dont make their appearence by tommarow I will call customer service back but to be honest the guy I spoke with just didnt seem very helpful and did not speak english very well.

Dirt member? Youll have to tell me that in laymen terms, would be glad to recieve any help to get my channels comming in like they are supposed to.

So long as the tag is on the account, you should be receiving the channels. If the tag is there, a "hit" may need to be sent to reauthorize the programming.

I'm going to send you a PM so we can get this resolved.

Thanks for all of the help garys and Matt. After getting to talk to a level 2 tech and rebooting my reciever, they sent a authorization hit and after about 10 minutes all of the channels are now comming in. Thanks again for the help.
