Hopper! and Thanks Ray!

Just got hopper and three joeys installed today, all I can say is Wow! I've been a loyal dish customer since 98 with 5 receivers (3 Hd and 2 Sd) and the Everything programming package. Although I conceded a decrease to 4 receivers, no big deal since one kid is in college anyway, but now they are all HD. Love the updated interface and the speed, PTA will be awesome. Only negatives so far is only one remote per receiver (wife is ticked, but it may end up being very good for me), my USB external hard disk is not supported, and I will not be able to simultaneously record as many programs. These slight problems are significantly outweighed by the benefits. In summary, this is the biggest improvement in video experience since HD.

I also want to thank Ray on this forum for taking care of this entire process for me, it was much better working directly with Ray than with phone support. For any of you out there on the fence or are worried the hopper wasn't really ready for prime time (like me), think again - you won't be disappointed.

You're welcome! I was glad to help with the upgrade. If you need a second remote, you can order addtional remotes from your online account (mydish.com). A software fix for the EHD issue is upcoming. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. Thanks.

Awesome, I just ordered a second remote and another power supply for a joey - now I can very easily move one of the joeys to the 5th HDTV when needed (i.e.; the bar). I hope they will get the ExtHD software updated, not that big of a deal, but I still have some bowl games to watch!

Thanks again Ray, you've been a huge help :)
