I need a replacement DVR ... Mine isn't working right (again) ...

Do you know if, as an existing customer, I can get the HD DVR that you can record on and watch in any room at no additional cost?



Also, how do you know if you satellite dish needs to be adjusted?

Getting Something for no cost -is determined on a case by case depends on your length as a customer and your payment history. Call and ask.

Not knowing why your Receiver is acting up (exact problem) Again- That could be caused by your outside cables starting to fail or your Dish needing Alignment.

I suggest you call and schedule a service visit. Or Call and ask for a upgrade either may not be free but your problem should be solved.

From your remote -press menu-setting info and test- signal strength.

101 -should be in 90-100's on 1-32
99 should be High 80's-90's
103a should be same
103b should be same

Any numbers lower could be mis-aligned or the leaves are just now starting to show.

You may be chagred a service call. If you have the protection plan, it's free.
they will do what it takes to get you up and running at 100% levels.
If you do need a new DVR all it takes is a call, and allow them to diagnose the STB, and if the issue is not resoloved, they will send out a refurb. unit. The protection plan is well worth it, as I have found even if something was to break due to any reason, you will be chagred a service call. it sucks but @ $6.00 monthly, they will even send you new remotes.

I should have mentioned - I do have the protection plan. My DVR, like my old one, pauses and freezes up ... It's driving us crazy! I would like to have the DVR that you can record on and watch in any room ... But I don't want to pay some crazy amt for it. I was hoping to find a way to get a service call to my home so that they might connect the satellite to the Internet (free)!
