I have a camera with coax to a monitor, i then split the coax at the monitor and ran coax to another monitor, plugged into video input but cant get a picture. Its not the cable or the connectors because i plugged the original monitor into it and it worked. Could i have a monitor that doesnt accept what im trying to do.

If you are trying to split with just a Y cable that is probably your issue. You need to go through a powered splitter.

That's quite correct. If you're using regular coax, a Y will cause a double termination and drop the video level which might explain your problem. You actually need a video distribution amplifier for that type of connection to split the video to more than one path. These are readily available. Here's one that will do the job.

check the cable connection of your Monitor then try.
