Hello. I'm new to the whole OTA Antenna thing butÖ.Iím a fast learner. I live on the West end of the Poconoís (Effort, 18330) and am very interested in going ota. According to Antennaweb.org, I could/should only have access to one channel in my area. Just for the heck of it, I picked up a second hand Clearstream 2 ($20) and figured I would give it a shot. I figured I would first test indoors (but didnít expect anything). After hooking it up in my bedroom, I almost effortlessly, got about 5 channels!! I then decided I would try it on my deck and Iím now getting all majors except ABC and PBS (ABC comes inÖbut only at times) plus about 13 other channels!! I have decided to install the antenna on the roof and plan on going with a Clearstream 4.

Question. Are there any other Pocono members having similar experiences? If so, can you please provide tips? Why does Antennaweb say I have access to almost nothing but my results are the complete opposite? Can I expect to pick up ABC and PBS once the antenna is roof mounted (about 35 feet off the ground)?

Thank you in advance.

Ignore what antennaweb.org says. Try tvfool.com instead. It'll give you a far more accurate evaluation of what's available in your location. You'll get the most accurate information if you use your exact address rather than your zip code. The generated report will not actually show your address so it will be "safe" to post your TVFool report here so that the many antenna experts here will be able to assess your situation and give you excellent advice.

You didn't mention WHICH specific stations you're receiving (a network affiliation is not specific), so we can only guess.

ABC and PBS from Philly will require a low and high VHF antenna. The C4 isn't going to help those stations.

Show us the TVFool report and we;ll be more able to help out.
