Keep rca pro sw-120p or get new klipsch kw-100??

Hello;

Ok here is my dilemma,

I bought a klipsch quintet 2 system from a guy on craigslist, awesome price and they are like new, the guy purchased them new in 09. he has the klipsch kw-100 subwoofer which he purchased over the summer.

now my dilemma.

I currently have an onkyo tx-sr606 receiver paired with panasonic sb hc750 speakers and an RCA Pro-sw120P subwoofer. my RCA is rated at 120w peak and 100 rms.

The klipsch Kw-100 sub is rated at 225w peak, 55w rms. he wants 75 for the sub, my question is, is it worth it to buy the kilpsch kw-100 or am i better off to pair my quintet 2's with the RCA pro-sw120p?

Please help, he wants me to purchase the sub if i still want it by saturday jan 7th,

Although neither is superb, $75 for the klipsch is certainly a good buy and is the better of the 2 subs by a good margin. I would get it and possibly even try using a ' y ' shaped splitter and running 2 subs to see how it works out - sometimes 2 is better than 1 sometimes not.

For $75!!! Without a doubt, get the Klipsch sub. A much better sub and a much better fit with the Klipsch sats... Get on the horn now...;)

Edit: 1 thing to note, I believe the KW-100 is a down firing sub. So depending on the situation (thick carpet or what not), it may not be the best rig. But still a much better sub and fit than the RCA IMO..

In complete agreement go with the Klipsch definitely.

I am using this downstairs its a concrete floor thats treated and sealed then i installed carpet over top of it. Dont know if that makes a difference.
