I'm all over this, I trust ND and think them breaking out of the UC frame would be very well done (and probably push their creative juices) It's also obviously done in the UC engine, big bonus IMO.

For those who didn't see the teasers before this they were showing an ant infected with a real world fungus. The fungus would take control of the ant forcing it to climb to the top of a branch, bite down on the branch, and sit there till it died. The mushrooms could then grow out of the ant and spread their spores.

So... Dead Island done right?

Not really, just reused assets from their engine they have now. That and the PS3 will be around for a long time to come, no sense in holding games back and weakening the hold Sony has in other regions. That is what Microsoft is most likely doing and its risky imo.

I dunno. Next year will be the 7th year of this gen. I think its safe to say that both systems will be around for another 3 years, making 10 years. After 7 years its about time for something new.

I wish they would give a release date. But knowing ND it won't come out until next November. No Uncharted next year so they'll have to fill the void. Can't wait for this.

I'm psyched to see some gameplay for this. Damn these trailers w/ no gameplay footage but this did get me hyped. It sounds like it's going to be more than just infected people you'll be up against.... this could be an epic game (or series) if you think of the possibilities...

No way Ubi drops Rainbows 6 Patriots in 2013 if there on new consoles coming that quickly. Seeing that at the VGAs really made me a lot more skeptical about all speed of the current rumors.
