In this recording (in German) the ensemble of the Odyssee Theater is playing "Einen Jux will er sich machen" by Austrian playwright Johann Nestroy.

Note: This is a high definition recording in 1080p (1920 x 1080) encoded with XviD (MPEG4). We recommended VLC Media Player for playback.

I've tried to use online English/Spanish, English/German, English/Italian, English/any given language dictionaries before. Overall, they suck! My experience has been they have about a 20% success rate on vocabulary. I don't even try them anymore.

I figured the person posting the original message here would probably know the translation.

Sorry I couldn´t answer earlier, but I was out of town the whole week. You could translate the title with "He wants to make a joke". The grammar or the order of the words of this German title is quite oldfashioned. I don´t know anybody who would say it so today. But the middleages or Shakespear were worse.

Best regards
