Hi, I am trying to play the WMVHD files from a few of the IMAX discs (Coral Reef Adventure, The Living Sea, Dolphins) they work fine when playing through the menu, but the individual 'feature' clips will not play on their own. All of the other clips even play fine on my Mac too. Is there some kind of copy protection that won't let them play on their own? Is there a workaround to playing the clips on a Mac?
My goal is to extract the WMV files and convert them to a more friendly format on my Mac.
Thanks for any info you may have.

I suspect it's disc drm. Because I also downloaded the same coral reef ISO file. Then I used ISOBuster to get WMV file out of it. As long as I had the ISO file loaded onto my virtual DVD drive, the WMV file played alright with WMP. But after I removed the ISO file, it stopped playing (asking me insert disc).

When I run one of the copied wmv files from my mac, it opens in Windows Media Player 9 (current for Mac) then launces a new browser window with this address:
http://1.licenseserver.com/imax/livingsea.aspx?challenge=AAEAAU9MObZF!P3q4RUsVDvZf pG85CccaPsKZBierd!5hFk5oUvLLqIDlSea0QchOrRulNakkSv Zcnd!S3JubhdwHRfsZkwwAQMq6CPHPKtEOUoHsD5dWNpIXuSc9 07D35gfZBc47hvDBC92netQjV2e1*k9hbQIV9Z9YLDshSnF2Tb j06icHLpiCtiwJWqv9jIVg8VvUx9HY33sGlS*1PYM!4VYWT6pU JSo0cG9r4CBVVvhfJ!aOyKh6vWZQHhjoptt3kxaNphf&DRMVer=1.3&filename=file:///Robot/movies%2520to%2520be%2520converted/LivingSea.wmv
Then it says: "Coming Soon" in the browser window. Hmmmm.

DRM means the file is encrypted. it is not possible today to convert an encrypted WMV file to another format.
The message 'coming soon' you are seeing is because you have not licensed the file on that computer yet. unfortunately, the only way to do that is to play the video using the built-in player, which handles the DRM. after that, you can play the file on the PC that has the license. I don't believe there is any way to export the license to another computer.
