Hey, anybody have experience with the New PCI : ATSC/QUAM PC Cards that can receive HD and also record on Hard drive?

ATI Wonder has one and another Korean company Called MIT. I should get the latest chip too?

QAM is the modulation used with digital cable, but these only work for unscrambled channels - which is basically on the retransmitted OTA HD stations. No CableCard.
These are mostly just used with OTA signals from an antenna. No HD digital video inputs.

I understand HD tuner standards, however does anyone out there have any experience with Putting one of these in their computer to receive and record HDTV?

I used to use one... with an indoor Silver Sensor I got poor results even though I was only 5 miles from the towers. I didn't record much, not much good in HD in the earlier days of OTA... and takes up about 11 GB/hour.

Another good one from DVICO... the Fusion5 (with QAM)...
