Recommended Surround Sound System

Awesome system.

This looks awesome in the picture. How much would a setup like this cost?

I spent several years putting this system together while adding a 42" HD Plasma. I firmly believe that speakers are the most improtant part of surround sound system. I have surround sound in my bedroom also. Denon A/V receiver, Bose speakers, Infinity center speaker but I posted pictures of my main system. Prices are what I paid at the time of purchase and do not represent current prices.

Denon A/V 3300 = $ 799
Infinity Overture 3 = $ 2,200 pr
Infinity Overture 2 = $ 700 pr
Infinity IL36c Center Channel = Got it free. I asked the saleswoman to through in the center speaker because at the time I was purchasing more A/V eqipment for bedroom.
Rel Stratta 3 Subwoofer = $800

Buy your sound system by ear but don't be deceived by tricky sales people Bring one of your own movies to audition the systems & try to find a showroom that is similar to your own surroundings this will make your selection a little more accurate

Do you know the odds of finding a place that sells BOTH the speakers as well as the receiver/Amp you are looking for to hear together, never mind have a soundroom close to your room acoustics?

It must be HUGE. ;)
