Super 35 films re-edited for 16x9?

First you need to know what Super 35 is to answer, basically when a movie is filmed in Super 35, more area is filmed than you really see. In editing directors cut a 2.35:1 format out of the Super 35 area for example:

My question is, have the super 35 films like terminator 2 ever been released in 16x9 format to show MORE film area and to fit widescreen TVs perfectly?
