Happy Friday everyone!

I've always been a big AI fan (love watching him play mostly in Phili) and even collect some of his sports cards. See what I got so far if ya like!

Anyways I want some honest opinions on him. On other forums I frequent AI is completely trashed and dragged through the mud all over the place, crossing into deep hate on a level I don't understand, it's just a sport I say!

Please let me know how you feel about AI, and quite possible siging with the Knicks soon.

Well, according to espn, the Knicks will not be pursuing A.I.:

AI, in his thirties has more heart, drive and stamina than anyone else in the league. He's also one of the toughest guys around and a great scoring AND defensive thread. Of course he has his downsides, I think he could work out on the Knicks, cuz they suck, but a well oiled machine like Detroit is not a fit for him. Not sure how he'll be this year or where his head is at after being shuffled around so much, but he's still a great player if you ask me.

Still a GREAT player? You musta already long tapped that pony keg..:D Perhaps that is why he has a limited roll on a team like Memphis. No one would question his heart and toughness and in his pime was a great player (even though he took a billion FG attempts). But that ship has long sailed.. But I think he is only making around 3.5 mil this season so.... There are plenty of NBA players making more $$$ that suck much worse. He would be a decent bench guard for a team needing more depth at that position. But why go to another shit team like the Knicks to finish out your career? Other than to get out of Memphis..:banghead:

I don't what he has left but he was certainly a great player for a lot of years. I suspect he doesn't have much left at this point, he has been hurt and is pretty old for his style of play.

Guys thanks for the comments, I'd like to hear more good or bad!

I honestly think he has some gas in the tank and would suprise alot of people with the numbers he would put up if he played 40minutes a game the rest of the year.

The only thing though, and I will admit it :), that said team would IMO probably be an under .500 team.

I just want to see him play and stop this whole circus that is surrounding him, I'm just not sure he wants to come off the bench, even if he was picked up by a contending team...

It's amazing how much his stock has fallen in the last year. He's still a great player on an individual level, but he is having trouble working into a chemistry when he is not a go to guy, and much less not a starter. He just has to change his attitude and accept that he's not what he used to be, otherwise no team will want to touch him.
