I have the Samsung 1600 (i think) and I'm pretty convinced that my issue resulted from a firmware update since i first witnessed it then and changed nothing. My display appears to be in "zoom" mode, its not the tv settings, doesnt matter which setting i use (game, thx, etc). The menus are actually going off the screen quite a bit, I wasn't hoping today's firmware update would've fixed it but it didn't so I thought maybe there is a setting off. There aren't many settings though, its on 1080p, 16:9..any idea?

Does this happen with Blu-ray or DVD or both? If only DVD, widescreen or 4:3 or both? It doesn't really sound like a firmware problem to me but a setting problem with player or display but I don't think anything is broken. There could be a zoom setting on your display although I believe that should automatically turn off when the display is turned off. I would look at player settings first.

Your description is somewhat vague. You say the problem started right after a firmware upgrade on your Blu Ray player, so I'm assuming you are having problems with the blu ray pic only. If so, when you do a firmware upgrade, all your previous video and audio settings on the blu ray player are put back to default. So go into the blu ray set up menu, instructions in the owner's manual, and reset the video and audio settings as you had them before. May fix the problem.
If you are having the problem on all inputs, not just blu ray, cycle thru the zoom settings on your tv's remote till you fix it. Someone may have hit the zoom button by accident.

Sorry, its only the blu-ray. The settings on the tv are fine, the image is stretched off the screen. I haven't been able to find a setting as there seems to only be the usual 16:9/4:3 and so, did not see a zoom.
