I want a hdtv that has an auto tune and a add on tune feature. I have a rotor . i can get 60 channels of hdtv from NYC and Phila. My problem is I have a 26 inch sharp lcd/dvd in one room (Kitchen) It has auto tune so if i grab NYC and then rotate to PHILA I can't add the channels . It has an insane skip/addon feature that does not work. I have a hdtv in the den it lets me add-on. I have a converter box for the bedroom it lets me add-on. I USE TWO MACMINI'S AS dvr's with eye-tv tuners they let me add-on. Now the wife wants the following two features a built-in dvd player included in the 32 inch lcd tv side loader. there are 6 or 7 on the market. I don't want to buy 1 and have the same problem I have with the sharp tv. does anyone have a 32 inch lcd/dvd and a rotor setup that works the right way?

does anyone understand me and can help or am I a moron and the sharp lcd/tv will program add-on after rotation and I don't understand how?

TIA phil

I am bumping this up. i also have a second question. I may want a 37 inch and or a 40 inch lcd. Does anyone own one and use an outdoor antenna with a rotor? If so does anyone have one with a simple add-on option for new channels? My question is which ones have that type of tuner?

walmart carries a sansui see below

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10973189

has anyone used this with ota tv? has anyone autotuned 1 set of channels then rotated the antenna and simply added more channels, without losing the first set of channels. I hate to order and then return the set if I can not do that.

I know the Panasonic plasmas allow you to keep the previously scanned channels and then scan again without losing them if you change the antenna direction for OTA channels so I suspect their LCDs would be the same way also.

I purchased the sansui . It allowed manual add-on of channels after i rotated antenna from nyc to phillie. new problem the tune is of poor quality. I have two other none dvd lcd's that pick up far more channels then the sansui. I will return it to walmart on thur. At least it let me program add-ons. My next question is going to be what lcd has the best ota tuner?

I recently purchased a 46" jvc lcd tv for a little over a $1000. I upgraded from my 32" and it actually made a huge difference. Does anyone own a jvc lcd tv too? I'm pretty sure they're a common brand lcd tv. The main reason I bought it is because it was a cheap lcd tv not like sony or something like that that can cost thousands. I've only had mine for a few weeks and I love it! All the football games look amazing on it. I've got a 1080p hd dvd player hooked up to it with decent hdmi cables and the movies are pretty awesome on it. I've never heard of sansui lcd tv before? Is that a cheap lcd tv[/URL]? I know walmart doesn't tend to carry the "upper end" brands.
