I am a tough spot.
Walmart is having their secret sale and they have this 46" panasonic plasma (1080p/600hz) for $788.
I want to get a 54" Panasonic V10 model.

My problem is that I've wanted a new tv for over 5 years now, and I'm helping my mother in law find one, this deal came along, and she's going to try to get one for her BF. When I told my wife over the phone today about the deal, she asked if that's something we should get. I told her that I have another one in mind, and she got mad. She never likes it when I talk about a new tv. With this one, I may even be able to get a blu ray player that is on sale too. (http://www.walmart.com/Sony-Blu-Ray-Disc-Player-BDP-S360/ip/10973178 ) $148 for that one btw.
I don't know if I hold out, and charge one possibly by next spring, or be able to just go buy this smaller one, that isn't as good as the one I really want.
I'm not even sure that I'll be able to get her to agree to let me get the 54" one (she may think it's too big). I have a 35" sd tv now, and that comes out 2 feet from the wall.
I don't want to blow my chances, but again, I don't want to settle for something I may not want.
I was considering the 47" vizio with 240hz and she may have been ok with that come spring once my wedding schedule ( I dj weddings) gets busy again.

Heads up.. This sale is far from secret..:huh

Dude, as I stated in a very simular post earlier today.... If you can get your hands on 1 of these for $788, DO NOT THINK TWICE. Amazing deal no question and a no brainer. But they will be GONE very quickly. So act fast, wait in line or do what you got to do. But chances will be pretty slim on getting 1 I think. But give it a go.

The 46'' Sharp Aquos they are offering for $698 (I think) is another killer deal, so if the Panny's are gone and you have a chance to gobble that up.... Get on it..

And you are not married yet....If you think she is got you by the balls now, wait until then.. So I say buy now while ther is still a shred left..

So I should "settle" for the 46"? That's what size I was looking at before. I just don't want to regret not waiting for the bigger one. I guess it could go downstairs when my tv I have now craps out(currently a 35" Mitzsubishi sd tv) in the finished basement. I'd like that on the wall down there too. There is an awesome spot for it!
Is it much lesser of a tv?

I guess I don't know whatcha mean by not married. Married with children, so she does have my you know what's. lol
I dj alot (when I get the money to upgrade-2 years left to pay off my $500 a month truck), so maybe get the 46" for now, wait a couple years and get something similar to the current V10 for my main tv upstairs.

Although a surround sound system would be better down there and keep this one up here.
I just hope I one of these 46" ones first I guess.

I don't know why BigBloww thought the OP wasn't married.
