I have Maxent's MX-26X3, what is happening is I will turn on the TV and I'll have normal operation but after 5-10 minutes the screen produces and overlay of horizontal colored lined. Any ideas? Is the monitor overheating? Maybe I could used compressed air to try and get out a couple of years of dust.

Most likely the problem you are having is heat sensitive, meaning whichever capacitor, resistor and/or transistor is failing. There's not really much you can do at this point, looks like your panel is toast! Sorry for the bad news!

Try running a fan toward the vents in the back to see if that lengthens the time before the screen goes wacky. If having the fan blowing air into the vents helps then it is a heat problem to some degree, but likely also a capacitor issue on a video board.
