On a Samsung Flat Panel that has the red/white (RCA connector) Audio out jacks on the back, is the audio out a fixed level so that it can be connected to a sound system or is it dependent on the TV's volume setting. Reason: we are trying to connect an older surround sound system to a 46" Samsung TV. The TV is connected to a HDR Cable box using RGB video and the red/white audio connectors. The HDMI will not work for whatever reason (according cable company technician). The Cable box has no other audio out except FO but the surround system has no FO input. Therefore the analog audio out on TV is the only option if it will work. I would check it myself BUT I am helping them over the phone from afar..
