Yeah I wasn't very pleased with the daily performance of the 6000 series I had. After doing much research and finding this forum I picked up a G10 50' Panny and I'm pretty happy.

I'm a pretty serious gamer and movie watcher. Anyone got any tips or things for this set? I've got all the settings matched I think but, I'm also a little worried about the breakin. The THX calibration does look better and I'm anxious to get my own cals going. Do I really need to wait 200hrs before accessing these features?

Any tips/info anyone's got on this set with ps3/360/and blueray I'm all ears.

Check out my "settings" link for some good starting settings. Just keep the Picture/contrast setting at 50 during the break in period though. My link also has some info about th break in also.

You can use a calibration disc right now and adjust your settings. THX mode with Warm color temp are the closest to D65 standard. Just avoid watching content with black bars for the first 200. Contrast at 50 in the THX mode on the G10 will be somewhat dull however and you may want to leave it the default of 70 which still won't clip the whites and cause any damage.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm enjoying the set. Unfortunately I can't access the THX cali yet because it brings the contrast too 100%. Can that be good? That seems pretty high to me.
