Hi everyone. Finally gonna buy my first HDTV. I've done a fair amount of research and I think I'm pretty set on the size (32"), but I'm still not sure which one to get. Some info:

- Previous TV was a 27" CRT (about 8-9 yrs old)

- Money isn't a big issue, but of course I'd like to get a good value

- I sit fairly close to the TV, 3-5 feet.

- I'll mostly be watching sports and regular programming, but I'll do a fair amount of gaming as well. However, I only play last-gen systems (PS2 and GameCube) and don't plan on getting a current-gen system for the foreseeable future.

- Won't be watching many DVD's, and defintely no Blu-Ray for now.

- My room only has one window, so it's never particularly bright, and direct sunlight never hits the TV.

Not sure what other info to include. I've been sorta looking at the Sony XBR9 and a couple Samsung models, but I'm open to anything. Any tips/recommendations would be great, thanks!

Check out the Toshiba 720p model 32AV502R or 32AV52R (wholesale club model). I thought these had the best black levels and best viewing angles of any other when I looked at them.

Hope this helps & welcome to the forum! :hithere:
