The sound mode is not set for pure audio. Is there any other setting I may have hit that would black out the display or is the unit in need of repair. Thanks Onkyo has a "dim' setting for the front display, but not a total black out that me be aware of. Unplug the unit for an hour or so and see if it resets itself.
