Dammit! I'm too weak! I've ended up picking a PSP Go. I have to say, I prefer it to the original PSP by a long way. Bit gutted I can't put my Mall Cop digital copy onto the thing as the disc states a Memory stick must be in the system despite the 16gb memory.

Anyone else got one? I'm loving the console itself mind, just need to get me some gaaaaaames! shame the UK PSN is so pathetic on game lineups lol.

congrats!, I want to get one aswell but cant justify spending the money at the moment, maybee when it gets its first price drop.

So hows the screen quality compared to the psp 3000??? I read that they improved the quality somewhat.

Get Resistance and both the Syphon Filters.

All three as good as any console game this gen.

and be proud of another fine Sony console purchase. It's the sign of a gentleman and unyielding superior taste.

Resistance is £12.99 on UMD or £24.99 on PSN (re: sod that!) so I'm waiting for that to come out on Platinum, shouldn't be too long. I have downloaded a demo for it though. I'm gonna get Chains of Olympus as well.

I have the UMD so I can use that as 1 of my rewards, infact... I wonder if I can do that with Resistance too (which would halve its price ). On the UK PSN if you register your Go, then hook your old PSP with UMD in up to PSN it'll let you register 3 UMDs for download off PSN to the Go.

I'll definitely check out the Syphon Filter games, I remember it from the PS1 days. I tried Secret Agent Clank last night too.

I'm going with this, it's a cool little console and all but I'll be waiting till the price drops and the library matures a little bit more.

I'd buy the thing in a heart beat for $150... no way in hell for $250. :o

It didn't help that my GF just got a new Sony Ericsson Satio... that was the breaking point  I'm loving the thing though, it's so much more comfortable to hold than the normal PSP.

Shake the haters off Mike, the PSPGo is a Sony gaming product. Always worth every penny (pence?).

The Syphon Filter games aren't like the PS1 version at all. They're a mix of Gears of War/Uncharted combat with some tactical swagger mixed in.

The set pieces, scripts, voice acting etc. is all AAA even for a $60 'hd console' game.

I'm not a hater... I'm just really cheap

Thats the thing, I'm not convinced they are worth the money lol, I just wanted one! (I paid £550 for my first Xbox 360, which was over $1000 at the time... just because I wanted one )

Well to me it's worth the money, because I will get the use out of it. I've been playing Rock Band on it and wow, I always loved Frequency and Amplitude, we now have a true sequel! :D

If people are happy with their PSP 1000-3000s, thats fine, but the PSP Go is far more ergonomic, far more portable, and far more awesomeage!

Just incase people didn't know, as a lot of people say it's identical to the other PSPs only with stuff removed, it's also got Bluetooth allowing you to hook the thing to the internet via mobile phone when you're not in a wifi spot and also use Dual Shock 3 controllers to control your PSP games if you want more comfort while at home.

A fantastic product? Definitely, worth £225? Maybe :p depends what you'll get out of it. The PSP Go Rewards program allows you to register 3 of your UMDs via an old PSP and have the PSN version for free of that title.

I'm thinkin of picking up Resistance, KillZone and something else cheap to get the free PSN registrations then selling the UMDs as the UMDs are half the price of the PSN downloads and I'd get money back on the UMD to boot

I thought I read that was not going to happen in the US... Which sucks.

I didn't know the part abou the PS3 controller. That's definitely interesting. My hand always get's cramped on my current PSP cause Sony stupidly designed the placement of the joystick. I mean seriously why didn't they just replace the d-pad with the joystick? That'd have worked out perfectly!

The old PSPs gave me cramp, I am happy to report that so far my PSP Go experience has been pleasingly cramp free. The redesign has done so much for the console... now they just need to get a better selection of games up on PSN for it. The hardware is solid... it's like the PS3 in 2007 atm.
