Hey guys, new to these forums here. i purchased an onkyo ht-s6200 and am hoping for arrival within the next 5 days. my current 5.1 panasonic htib burned out. Below i have a overview (paint, sorry for the horrible illustration) of my room and i need help placing speakers. I purchased some speaker mounts along with my system and i am even willing to hang them from the ceiling if needed. Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. 4539

Wow. That room DOES present a problem. The best advice that I can give is to experiment with your speaker placement before making any permanent decisions. First of all, buy some heavy gauge speaker wire, preferably 16 gauge or larger. You can go to www.monoprice.com to buy in bulk for a lot less $$ than you would pay at a local retailer. And they offer really fast shipping. But, if your need the wire right now, you can go to your local Lowe's or Home Depot and purchase bulk speaker wire there. The 6200 is an excellent system, and is very flexible. Wherever you decide to place your speakers, the Audyssey set up will optimize each speaker automatically. You should have no problems in finding the set up that suits you. :)
