I am getting a calibration DVD for my PS3 player. Will I need to calibrate the component cable adapter and the S Video adapter separate from my HDMI? I have three plasmas right now. I used the Tweak TV settings for my 60" Pioneer & 46" Panasonic because they had them. But my new 54" Panasonic is not there. So I bought this DVD. They all look great but I though I would try the calibration DVD to see if it helps. I still have to watch some SD channels with my Direct TV & Dish network HD receivers (722).... because they all aren't HD yet. So do I need to buy a SD DVD to run in my Pioneer SD DVD player for calibrating SD? Or will it matter? Also I know someone who calibrates TV's on the side. He wants $150 to do it. Will it be better for him to do it or will the DVD suffice? This is the DVD I bought.

Is the guy certified? What equipment does he use? If he's an experienced ISF certified calibrator? If so, then $150 is good deal. If not use your disc.
You will need to calibrate each input individually for optimum performance.
The "DVD" that you bought is a "Blu-ray" disc. You will not be able to play the Spears-Munsil-High-Definition-Benchmark-Blu-ray disc in your Pioneer SD DVD player. But you can use it in your PS3.You can buy an Avia or DVE SD calibration disc on Amazon for cheap to calibrate your SD DVD player, or.....return the Spears-Munsil disc and buy the ISF/Monster disc that you can use to calibrate both BD and SD.
If your PS3 player is an older style, rather than the new slim style, make sure that you set it to super white or you'll most likely have problems with white clipping. I believe the newer style PS3's clip white regardless.
First calibrate the HDMI input that you're using for the PS3, then move the PS3 to the inputs that you're using for the Dish and DirecTV receivers.

They should have and use other equipment like a colorimeter and signal generator...not a DVD.

You only need to calibrate the inputs that you are using. Since you stated that you were utilizing a Pioneer SD DVD player, I thought that meant that you were also utilizing inputs other than HDMI. If you are not utilizing the Pioneer, you can then use the disc you ordered and calibrate with the disc you ordered.
Like Loves2Watch stated, a certified calibrator will use a colorimeter and signal generator, along with a laptop running calibration software.
