Cable splitter from VGA pc to VGA projector and HD monitor

We recently purchased about 60 lenovo units with an integrated VGA port. In addition, we received the same number of Gateway HD1700 monitors and Epson projectors. The monitor has both the vga and dvi port. The Epson projector only has a VGA port. We also purchased vga splitters and a 25' vga cord to connect to the projector. When we plugged these all together, the image was displayed on the projector, but the monitor couldn't receive a signal and just displayed the color bars.

What do we need to do to make the monitor and projector work properly together. Is the monitor not receiving a strong enough signal or not the correct kind of signal for the high definition monitor to work? We tried different splitters and 25' cables to rule out problems with those.

If someone could help us figure this out we would really appreciate your assistance.

Are you trying to use a split out cable or a powered splitter? Also will the monitor work when hooked up direct?

It is just a split out cable, not powered. Is a powered splitter cable what we need? If so can you recommend one? Thank you for being so prompt to respond!
