Dragon Age: Origins

Didn't see a thread for this. I'm thinking PC purchase. Mouse and Keyboard, 3/4 classic isometric view. My wife won't be up my ass watching it with me and sighing when I die more than twice like she does in Uncharted 2. (but honey the game is supposed to be a little challenging or it would be too easy).

Of course gaming from the comfort of the couch and achievements makes the 360 version VERY enticing. Tough call.

I'm getting it for the 360. Wasn;t a fan of the old Boulder's gate way of control so I figured a more console-like set up was in my best interest.

Still though I'm really excited. I just hope I'm not disappointed with it after playing Demon's Souls. :o

hmmm hmmm Baldur's gate I think you mean, but that game was awesome and is one reason I give Bioware so much slack.. They always deliver Dragon Age: Origins should be no different.

I am picking this up for the 360 as well, with Best Buys B2GO deal, I will just get a whatever place holder till it comes out..

I am interested in the game. But I am disappointed that they have announced 3 DLC for the game before it is released. If the game length is short, I won't buy it. I am tired of paid DLC...

It's Bioware, and Baldur's Gate... prolly a 60 hour game :p

The review in game Insider said 40-60 hours depending on how thorough you are.

You do know that a lot of DLC is just stuff that could not be finished in the alotted time the devs have to complete a game.. But since the idea is there, they will announce that it will be available at a later date and time. I have no problem with RPG DLC, Oblivion Shivering isles is like a 20 hour DLC.. Fallout 3's DLC was more than worth it, all $50 of it!!!!!

I have no doubt that Dragon Age will be worth it as well..

I read somewhere that it can last up to 100 hours...

PC version or bust on this.

Can't imagine the 360 version being faithful and manageable on a gamepad at the same time.

IMO, to make it work on a pad they'd have to really simplify it.

that was my thought. Though in one of the reviews I read that they use a sort of system like FFXII did which were basically situational macros. That COULD work on a console, but I like games on my PC. And it doesn't look like it should bog down an average gaming PC too much.

/edit - Plus I think it's available on Steam which is always a bonus these days. IMO

Steam has two versions available and you can download the character creator now.

The character creator is sort of nifty but it's really an excuse for them to get you to create an account on the bioware website. Also not sure if extra items and armor is worth 15 more dollars even IF one of the armor sets also works in ME2. It's a definite steam purchase just not sure what version.

11 minutes 360 gameplay footage.

Garbage confirmed.
